Our Process

Creating something unique that better connects you to your users requires the right mix of strategy, creativity, and capabilities. Our four-step Consensus Process is a proven approach used by the most recognizable brand names in the world to help you expand and amplify engagement.

1. Understand

First, we want to learn about your goals. This involves lots of listening and simple conversations to find out what you want to accomplish and the potential challenges on the way. Talking is as low-risk as it gets, so we’ll make sure to do as much as is needed before moving forward.

“Understanding happens in iterations. Having a shared mental model and staying aligned keeps a project on track.”

2. Explore

Next, we’ll play the “what if” game. With a clear understanding of the end goal, we’ll explore all of the different ways to get there. Some simple, some outlandish, some you might not even be aware of as possibilities. Together, we’ll imagine the end-user experience and use simple visualization tools to align on what direction makes sense.

“Exploration in design is how we get a wide range of inspiring ideas and make sure we avoid compromise or rushed decisions.”

Katie Trent, Designer

3. Define

With a clear direction in mind, we’ll dive into the nitty-gritty. Sketches will turn into low-code prototypes to validate the intended experience is working as planned. Wireframes, user flows, and minimalistic designs will guide us. We’ll fine-tune and define every detail needed to ensure that the design and development process aligns perfectly with your vision.

“Clearly defining a digital experience allow everyone’s vision to align.”

4. Build

Only once there’s total consensus do we roll up our sleeves and get to work on design and development. We’ll start by creating a minimal-as-possible working demo to gather feedback and make adjustments. As we hit milestones, we’ll move through progressive stages from demo to testing to launch and transform vision into reality.

“Custom digital experiences are often out of reach for small companies. Thanks to our programming capabilities and knowledge of hardware components and software environments we can build custom experiences without the multi-million dollar budget.”
